
Steve Brown - Senior MSK Physiotherapist

Steve graduated with First Class honours in his BSc (hons) Sports Science degree, from the University of Brighton in 2005. He continued his studies at the University, graduating with a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Science (Physiotherapy) in 2008.
He spent the later part of 2008, and early 2009, volunteering at a school for children with special needs, in Thika Kenya and working with the Kenyan national football team. Upon his return, Steve entered into the National Health Service, where he spent 20 months completing his junior rotations at Eastbourne District General Hospital and East Surrey Hospital.
Steve has a strong interest in sport, and in particular football. He combined his full time NHS post with working within the Crystal Palace Football Club Academy in the 2009/10 season. To further his specialisation in Sports Physiotherapy, Steve left the NHS in July 2010 to take the post of Head of Youth Physiotherapy at Plymouth Argyle Football Club. At the beginning of the 2011/12 season, Steve started working at Millwall Football Club as a First Team Physiotherapist, where he remained for 5 1/2 years. In October 2016 Steve left Millwall to concentrate on his private practice.

Celia Johnson - Senior Community & Respiratory Physiotherapist

Celia qualified from Oxford Brookes University in 2006 with a degree in Physiotherapy (BSC Hons).
After qualifying Celia completed her junior rotations at East Surrey Hospital (including: Care of the Elderly, Respiratory, Out-patients and numerous more) before taking a senior position within the Care of the Elderly Team. She then moved to Chichester Hospital Respiratory team for a year before taking up a senior role within the Acute Medical Team back at East Surrey Hospital, where she remains on part-time basis.
Celia has a keen interest in rehabilitation of the older adult as well as maintaining function and independence in at risk population groups, such as patients with dementia and those at risk of falls.

After qualifying as a physiotherapist she completed rotations at Eastbourne General Hospital (including Respiratory, Stroke, Care of the Elderly to name but a few). In 2012 Laura joined the Respiratory team at East Surrey Hospital, later becoming the Team Leader, before starting her current role in the East Grinstead ProActive Community Team.
